Turn your passion for food into a successful career with this hands-on chef training programme, combining culinary arts with entrepreneurship. This innovative culinary bachelor’s programme leads to a dual degree from BHMS as well as Robert Gordon University.

The programme is delivered in Lucerne, Switzerland, and includes accommodation, meals and insurance. During the first year a paid internship in Switzerland is guaranteed.

Structure

  • Year 1 – International Diploma
    • Theory and practice in basic European culinary arts, kitchen techniques, nutrition, food safety, etc. Language options: French and German.
    • Internship: 4-6 months in Switzerland (guaranteed and paid around 3000 $/month).
  • Year 2 – Advanced International Diploma
    • Theory and practice of advanced kitchen techniques, global culinary arts, management and operational skills, cost management, human resources, business analysis, etc.
    • Internship: 4-6 months in Switzerland or internationally (paid)
  • Year 3 – Bachelor’s degree
    • Theoretical studies in culinary management, creativity and entrepreneurship, food service management, new food product development, etc.
    • Internship: 4-6 months in Switzerland or internationally (paid)

  2. High school diploma or equivalent
  3. IELTS 5.0 level or equivalent
  4. For those who do not fulfil the English language requirements, we offer an intensive course designed to allow students to improve their language skills.
