Our intensive programme in culinary arts, provides a broad and internationally top-rated chef education. It includes one year at the Culinary Arts Academy in Le Bouveret, Switzerland, plus a year of paid internship anywhere in the world. Here you will lay a solid foundation for your future culinary career.

Techniques and methods, particularly in Italian and French cooking, are combined with various theoretical elements to prepare you for a career in the kitchen of top restaurants all over the world.

Our experienced chef instructors will demonstrate techniques and give you guidance that you translate into new skills. Although a kitchen is a disciplined environment, the teaching style remains highly accessible and light-hearted. We offer a solid foundation and more, to develop your love of cooking, and lead you further in the career!

After the course, there is also the opportunity to continue your studies towards our Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Culinary Arts. Our student advisors can tell you more about the higher education programmes.

  • Taste through Time: Cultures and History of European Gastronomy

  • Business Communication

  • Optional Internship, Switzerland or abroad (6 months) for Swiss Grand Diploma

Term 3: 11 weeks

  • Cuisines of the World
  • The World of Garde Manger
  • Taste through Time: Cultures and History of European Gastronomy
  • Kitchen Management and Leadership

Requirements

  1. Completed secondary school education (IB Diploma, IBCP Diploma, Maturité, Abitur, French Bac, 2 A-levels, high school diploma or equivalent).
  2. English language proficiency.
  3. Recommended minimum age of 18 years
